Education

1st year International human rights student at University of Denver. JD in International/Criminal Law from Drake Law School. -Certificates in basic and advance legal research. BA in International Relations from Drake University. -Minor in Drawing. - Concentrations were Eastern European History and Politics(Russia) and Asian History and Politics (China and Japan).

Experience

- While I do not have much tutoring experience, I do have experience with working with elementary to high age individuals. I use to coach a boys soccer team when I was in high school and it was the greatest experience of my high school years and probably of my life to this day. - I want to be a tutor because I remember how coaching effected me and I want to be able to help students overcome difficult tasks, just as I did with coaching. - I have taken a broad range of classes to complete my Bachelors and am continuing to do so with my law degree. - My focal points are in history and politics, but I come from a medical family, therefore I understand the sciences (with exceptions) fairly well. - Received AP credit for: - AP Biology - AP US History - AP World History - AP Government - AP Literature - Applying for the JAG program for the Navy and hoping to serve after graduation.

Hobbies

I am an avid sports fan, in particular, soccer, basketball, and softball. These were my top sports in high school and love using them as a means to break down difficult material that a student may face. This most likely explains why I coached soccer in high school, alongside playing on the varsity team as well. I wouldn't mind doing some one-on-one coaching either. On the other side of the spectrum, I am quite the nerd when it comes to reading a variety of different literature. My tastes range from historical novels to thriller to comic books. For myself, I have learned the importance of taking a break and enjoying a great book to reduce the stress I endured throughout undergrad and currently with law school. Thankfully, most of my undergraduate classes assigned very interesting texts that allowed my to grasp completely the content and achieve my degree. I have a very long list of books to recommend students that, not only will be interesting, but will assist them in their learning. Please feel free to submit any questions you may have and I will respond in a timely manner.
