-5 years experience in one on one subject tutoring (advanced high school and college math, physics, chemistry) and test prep (GRE and SAT, both classes and individual) -4 additional years of classroom experience: teaching high school math, college physics and astrophysics as an instructor and lab TA -Perfect scores on SAT and GRE math (800) -Relevant coursework: undergraduate degree in math (including Calc 1-3, Diff. Eq 1-2, Linear Algebra, Discrete Math), most undergraduate physics (Physics 1-3, junior level Mechanics, E/M, Thermodynamics, Astrophysics), Graduate level Statistics, Physics (Mechanics and E/M) and Astrophysics (full degree in coursework) -In addition to coursework, teaching, and research, during graduate school I served as coordinator for the women in Physics and Astronomy group, which was designed to help retain women in a field where they are under-represented, both building community at the graduate level as well as fostering connections with alumni in academia and industry, and building mentoring relationships with undergraduate women. While I enjoy science, being locked in a lab 40 hours a week is not for me, and I excel at teaching and mentoring. It is vital to me to have visibility and share my knowledge with others, in hopes that I can be a role model and provide support to other young women pursuing careers in STEM fields.
